Revelstoke gives you the opportunity to tackle great rock climbing, bouldering and some of the best mountaineering in BC. Revelstoke rock climbing is known for its easily accessible single pitch sport climbing on steep rock. There are also a number of long sport and mixed routes. Check out Waterworld for a totally unique experience; you can drive to the top and rappel down towards Lake Revelstoke's crystal clear waters, or head out the locals' way, and access the base of the crag by canoe. Pick up a copy of Revelstoke Rocks before heading out!
Beginner
If you're new to rock climbing, to help make the most of your day. If you have the skills to head out by yourself, pick up a copy of Revelstoke Rocks from Valhalla Pure Outdoors Revelstoke. Begbie Bluffs has a couple of options that can be top-roped. Check out the Kids Wall for 5.5-5.7 sport/trad routes. Alternatively, Macpherson Crag is ideal for sport climbers looking for shorter routes.
Intermediate
Begbie Bluffs, Begbie Falls Wall, Shaketown, and Big Eddy Bluffs have many options for single-pitch climbing. For multi-pitch options, head to Blanket Canyon, where you'll climb from the depths of a gorgeous canyon.
Expert
For great climbing in an unbelievable setting, head up Highway 23 North to Waterworld where you will either rappel in or rent a canoe to the bottom of the crag. Alternatively, Jordan River and Victor Lake Wall will have your adrenaline pumping and the stoke high.
