Explore the lush valley bottom.
Spring in Revelstoke is that sweet spot where winter fades out, but the mountains are still stacked with snow. While you won’t be heading up to the alpine for hikes just yet, there’s a lot that opens up closer to town. Down here, trails come alive with fresh greenery and bursts of wildflowers, while the rivers are running high, perfect for some whitewater action. Hit up the valley trails for hiking or biking, or try something different with spring skiing or boarding at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, which often keeps its lifts running into April. Spring is also prime time to explore the Inland Temperate Rainforest, where lush, towering trees and the fresh smell of earth remind you that the alpine can wait – there's plenty happening right here.

Things To Do
April - May
Early Spring
April is a great time to hit the slopes for some spring skiing and sledding. The sun pops out in Revelstoke significantly more, making for some epic riding - whatever the sport. The valley begins to melt out, although shaded areas are frequently covered in snow. If looking for some walks outdoors, check out the Greenbelt trails.
Come May, our valley begins to bloom. As the snow creeps up the valley, mountain biking trails and low-elevation hiking trails dry out. Many early-season keeners pedal along Airport Way and you may be able to sneak in a lower Sunnyside lap or two.
Many popular attractions open around the May long weekend.
Late Spring
In June, you can still expect to see snow covering the alpine. If venturing out hiking, expect popular alpine hikes to be closed (Eva & Miller Lake). We recommend checking trail conditions before heading out. Visit our Hiking page for more details.
Mountain biking, climbing, paddling, and many other summer activities become widely available.
