There's no question that the travel industry is a major contributor to carbon emissions. Tourism is responsible for roughly 8% of global carbon emissions. If you want to explore Revelstoke without having a large footprint, follow this weekend itinerary.
To reach Revelstoke without a private vehicle, try the Rider Express bus which connects Revelstoke to Calgary and Vancouver (with stops in between), ride-sharing, or the Stoke Shuttle.
Revelstoke's downtown core is small and walkable, so we recommend staying in one of our central accommodations. The Regent Hotel, The Explorers Society Hotel, and The Copeland are among the great options available.
Day One.
During the day
Start your day with breakfast and coffee at Terravita Kitchen, a local farm-to-table restaurant. They serve local Stoke Roasted coffee and food fresh from their farm and other local providers. Every Saturday morning, the Revelstoke Farmers Market is downtown. You'll find local produce, goods, and more. Pick up a picnic lunch for an afternoon of adventuring!
Head into Mount Revelstoke National Park on foot! The trail into the park starts right behind the Revelstoke Railway Museum (which is worth a stop itself). Follow the Tournament of Champions walkway, lined with art and interpretative information by local artist Rob Buchanan. Head up to the Nels Nelsen interactive ski jump sculpture to take in great views of downtown. Have yourself a picnic with a scenic look out over town before heading back to treat yourself.

The Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre showcases local art and has a great giftshop featuring work from local artists.
Big Eddy Glass Works is a must-visit stop on your cultural tour of Revelstoke. You can watch glassblowing in action and even participate in a workshop to create your own work of art.
The Revelstoke Museum & Archives offers windows into Revelstoke's varied history.

For dinner, try the Quartermaster Eatery, an upscale restaurant with an emphasis on fresh, local, and seasonal cuisine.
Day Three.
During the day
Head to the Modern Cafe for breakfast to fuel up before a big morning of shopping! Forage & Fill downtown is a local spot brimming with zero-waste products, refill stations, and a second-hand clothing store where you'll find something stylish. Make sure to stop by Brickhouse Vintage where you'll find not only incredible second-hand clothing but a tattoo parlour and hair salon. Weave through the streets towards Sugar Shack. This is another multi-business shop so head upstairs and peruse the high-end second-hand clothing and finish your rounds with an ice cream.
Around Lunch Time
Head to La Baguette and try locally baked bread, cakes, and delicious soups and sandwiches. You can check out their artisan grocer next door and grab some local produce for dinner. From here, head to the Bargain Basement and local Thrift store to finish off your shopping trip.
To celebrate all your 'new to you' items, head to Mt. Begbie Brewing for a flight of locally brewed beer.
