Things To Do As The Seasons Change.
We still have snow on the forest floor, but the flowering crocuses are popping through the fallen leaves from autumn, and soon enough our little mountain town (situated in the world's only inland temperate rainforest) will be enveloped in every colour of green imaginable.
Revelstoke is known as a winter and summer destination, but our off-seasons are just as incredible.
Rainforest Walks.
Late April - June
Revelstoke is located in the world's only inland temperate rainforest. The rainforest comes alive as the snow melts at the valley bottom and below the treeline.
Take a leisurely hike through Mount Revelstoke National Park trails such as Inspiration Woods, Broken Bridge, and Soren Sorensen Loop.
Check the trail conditions before heading out to make sure these trails are open and not snowbound.

Waterfalls.
May - June
Revelstoke is blessed with magnificent waterfalls within the rainforest. As the snow begins to melt in the alpine in early spring, our waterfalls share their power with us.
Check out Begbie Falls or Sutherland Falls, located just outside of Revelstoke's city limits. Keep an eye out for fish swimming in the pools below the waterfalls!

Mountain Biking.
The dirt is tacky, and the forests are unbelievably green – we are known for some of the best mountain bike trails in BC (managed and maintained by the Revelstoke Cycling Association).
The first trails to melt out are on Sunnyside. Locals flock there in the early spring to catch some short laps on the lower loop. Check TrailForks for trail condition updates.
Once the trails melt out more, head to Mount Macpherson's lower trails near Begbie Recreation Site. We recommend Yew R Here!
