In Revelstoke, we are proud to live, work, and adventure on the homelands of the Sinixt, and the territories of the Secwépemc, the Syilx, and the Ktunaxa Peoples.
We encourage visitors and residents to explore the following resources and to take time to reflect on the painful history of Canada’s First Nations Peoples.
Local Museums
Revelstoke Railway Museum & The Last Spike
The museum showcases the historic construction and operation of the Canadian Pacific Railway in Western Canada's mountain region playing a pivotal role in the creation of Canada.
Revelstoke Museum and Archives
Local history museum since 1962 with exhibits & activities, plus a children's play area & gift shop.
BC Interior Forestry Museum
We work to record, preserve, restore, and display artifacts and collections of historical, archaeological, artistic, educational, and scientific material as it pertains to the forestry industry of British Columbia. Explore the museum (open seasonally) and the Riverside Forest Walk (open year-round).
Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre
Learn about the history of the dam, enjoy exhibits, and experience our First Nations Gallery. When you arrive, you'll be in front of one of the most powerful dams in B.C. Whether you're on a guided or self-guided tour, you'll be able to take an elevator to the top of the dam for a breathtaking downstream view of the Columbia River Valley. Open May 18 through September 2, 2024.
