Fusion Ensemble

Inspired by his roots, the innovative fusion artist Tunde Jegede bridges African and European musical traditions in his work. Audiences will be treated to the meditative sounds of Jegede’s kora playing (a traditional West African harp) with his dynamic contemporary compositions. A cellist and a composer, he takes listeners on a journey to the heart of Malian griot culture. With re-imagined cinematic imagery of ancient Africa, it is a meditative musical experience. The Cree hoop-dancer and musician Jessica McMann joins him alongside violinist Daniel Bhattacharya for a Fusion of musical styles.
