Feel your worries melt away as you bask in one of the many local hot springs. Whether you’re looking for a resort experience complete with fine dining and a full service spa, or a more rugged natural hot spring and everything in between, Revelstoke is the place. Some hot springs offer on-site accommodation, from log cabins to tent and RV sites.
Halcyon Hot Springs is located an hour south of Revelstoke along Highway 23 and across the picturesque (and free!) Shelter Bay to Galena Bay ferry. Head further along Highway 23 South and you will arrive at Nakusp Hot Springs.
Crazy Creek Hot Springs are found about 30km west of Revelstoke along Highway 1. While you’re there, check out the suspension bridge to view the waterfall.
Canyon Hot Springs are located 20km east of Revelstoke and operate all summer long. Offering full service camping, it’s a good halfway point between Revelstoke and Rogers Pass.
To mix in a bit of adventure, visit the Halfway River Hot Springs, just a little farther down the highway and a short drive up the Halfway River Forest Service Road. Revelstoke Hot Springs FAQ’s
What time does the ferry leave and how early/late does it run?
The Shelter Bay/Galena Ferry leaves every hour on the hour from Shelter Bay (starting at 5am, 6am, 7am, etc, and ending at 12am). The boat leaves every hour on the half hour from the Galena side (starting at 5:30am, 6:30am, 7:30am, etc. and ending at 12:30am).
Where can I find more information about backcountry Revelstoke Hot Springs?
Halfway River Hot Springs is located south of Revelstoke. The main pool is a wooden structure about 2m (6 ft) wide and 1m deep. Travel is on rough roads and a 4wd vehicle is recommended. The hot springs are located off Halfway River Road.
Are there any Revelstoke Hot Springs Tours available?
Everything Revelstoke offers a “Dinner & Hot Springs Dip” at Halcyon. $125 per person and this guided tour leaves on a daily basis. Guests are picked up around 2pm and head for the 3pm ferry. Arrive at Halcyon Hot Springs at 345pm and enjoy a dip from 4pm onwards. Dinner is at 530pm in the lovely Kingfisher restaurant overlooking the Arrow Lake/Columbia River. Depart Halcyon at 7pm to catch the 730pm ferry and arrive back in Revelstoke at 8pm.
Revelstoke Hot Springs – Locals Tip
If you are heading over to Halcyon Hot Springs across the ferry, make sure to leave yourself enough time! It takes about 45 minutes to drive from Revelstoke to the Shelter Bay Ferry Terminal. Leave yourself a good hour to take in some of the views on route. Blanket Creek Provincial Park is a good halfway – check out Sutherland Falls while you’re there!
