Summer In Revelstoke

Lakes, alpine, wildflowers, & small town culture.

Revelstoke is more than just a one-day stop. It's a basecamp location for outdoor adventure, arts, and culture.

Our outdoor spaces are rugged, wild, and often "type II fun". Our community is small, tight-knit, and passionate about the outdoors.

You can hike to the summit during the day, wander through wildflowers, cool off at the lake after, then listen to live music in the plaza every night.

What To Expect.

Summer in Revelstoke is dynamic. Conditions shift quickly, and that's part of the fun!

  • Alpine opens slowly. Snow lingers on the mountain tops into July. Always check trail conditions before heading out.

  • Alpine wildflowers. Once the snow melts, wildflowers pop up, usually in late July and early August. Discover wildflower locations in our guide.

  • Trails, trails, trails. Revelstoke has two national parks nearby and several mountain biking trail networks that access the alpine.

  • Rainforest. Revelstoke is located within the world's only inland temperate rainforest. This means our valley trails are lush, full of ferns and waterfalls, and a great place to cool down.

  • Lakes and swimming. There are multiple swimming spots, canoes, and kayak paddles available. It's a great way to cool off.
