Mountain Bike Keystone Trail

Frisby Ridge & Vistas.

12km - 17.7km one way | 722m - 1,028m elevation gain

The trail climbs from a cutblock up through an impressive mountain hemlock subalpine forest and into alpine meadows, cresting on rolling Frisby Ridge with views in all directions. From the high point, the trail dips down to a small lake, where you can either turn back or continue along the alpine ridge for another 6 km on the Frisby Vistas trail. However, remember that this is an out-and-back trail, so save enough energy and water for the return ride.

How To Get There:

Drive into the subalpine via the Frisby Ridge FSR, gaining over 700 metres from the valley bottom. From there, hop on your bike and start the gentle climb into the alpine. The trail is mellow and climbs gradually, but don’t start too strong - it’s a long one! Consider hiring Wandering Wheels if you are looking for a shuttle driver.

Please note that the Frisby Ridge Trail is subject to a wildlife closure until July 15th every year.

Sale Mountain

Martha Creek DH.

9.3km | -1,516 m descent

You will begin your descent in the technical alpine, crossing through open meadows of wildflowers and huckleberries. Midway down, the trail gets fast and flowy with newly refurbished sidehill sections that will have your rotors smoking. The lower section slows down to technical rocks and roots, testing your bike skills while also taxing your now-tired arms and hands.

How To Get There:

Begin driving up Sale FSR, an active industrial road, where 2-way radio is mandatory. Consider hiring Wandering Wheels if you are looking for a shuttle driver. The road to the top takes at least 45 minutes.

At the end of the trail, cross the highway and head straight to Martha Creek Provincial Park for a dip in the Lake!
