The Kicking Horse Canyon Project is a 4.6 kilometre section of the Trans Canada Highway, located just east of Golden. Construction is now substantially complete. Lane and traffic speed reductions will be in effect through the final stages of completion.
The Kicking Horse Canyon is the gateway to BC from Alberta, and travelers will be rewarded with incredible views, outstanding recreation opportunities, and charming communities.
Getting To Revelstoke
Revelstoke is nestled between the Selkirk and Monashee mountains, accessed by the Trans Canada Highway. Neither too remote nor too accessible, getting here is part of the adventure.
Be sure to consider the season and the weather when planning your trip. If you are planning a winter visit, consider taking the shuttle if you are not comfortable with winter driving.
Getting Around Revelstoke
Downtown Revelstoke is charmingly small and walkable. In the summer, a bike is a great way to explore town. Rental bikes are available at local bike shops.
RV parking is available on Victoria Road RV parking in downtown Revelstoke is available on Victoria Road to traffic heading west. Pro-tip: If you entered from the western end of Revelstoke (therefore you are on the opposite side of the road from RV parking, take Victoria Road to the Townley Street traffic circle to change directions!
The Revelstoke Public Transit Service provides bus service every day. Local taxi service is also available.
