Twining Tuesdays

Workshop with Lori Anderson

Discover the traditional art of twining with recycled fabrics! Learn a selection of basic weaving techniques which can be used to create rugs, wall tapestries, fabrics, and more. Students will explore fundamental patterns, and each week, they can take the frame home to practice and complete their projects. At the end of the workshop, students get to keep their frames for continued twining adventures.

– 7pm – 9pm, Tuesday Evenings
– February 20, February 27 and March 5
– $85 for three weeks
– Participants can keep the frames after class
– Beginner friendly!

While frames, scissors, and instruction are all provided, participants are encouraged to bring their own scrap fabric. Old sheets are a fantastic twining material as it gives you lovely long strips. However old T-shirts, tea towels, scrap fabric, and most recycled materials are great to use. (Fleeces and Knits are not recommended)
