Join the last morning of the Colour The Slopes event for a traditional dance performance on the plaza outside of the Rockford Grill. Peter White, known by his 82k Instagram followers as @peternotsowhite, is a men’s traditional dancer of the Yaqan Nukiy tribe, which is a part of the Ktunaxa Nation. He’ll be performing a war dance that originated from the Sioux people. In his words, “This dance touched me because I’m a warrior myself, being a cancer survivor, also being homeless at one time in my life due to my addiction with alcohol. This dance has helped bring out the inner warrior in myself and find my purpose in life”. The event will likely take place entirely outside so come prepared for the elements. No registration is necessary, and there is no cost to attend.
