Eco-Grief Workshop
November 24, 2023 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
$2Climate change is happening around us, on distant news or in our backyard. It brings many questions, which can be hard to navigate. It can feel overwhelming or paralyzing at times.
This event is a guided workshop and a safe conversation aiming to address and understand the phenomenon of eco-grief and climate anxiety. It is based on the “The Work That Reconnects” by elder Joanna Macy. It helps people transform despair and apathy, in the face of overwhelming social and ecological crises, into constructive, collaborative action.
Come and learn about solutions to build happiness, resilience and community-oriented climate actions.
It will be facilitated by Malin Christensson, a long-time environmental activist, educator and ecotherapist, with the help of John Alton, earth activist and counsellor.
It’s a public event open to everyone. Donations of $2 at the door is encouraged.
