Overview

Boulder Mountain, just west of Revelstoke, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts year-round. Known for its rugged terrain, sweeping views, and easy accessibility, Boulder Mountain draws mountain bikers and snowmobilers alike. With expertly maintained trails that cut through the interior rainforest zone, Boulder offers challenging routes, thrilling descents, and unbeatable powder come winter. It’s a go-to spot for locals and visitors looking for heart-pounding adventure, just a stone's throw from town.

SEASONAL UPDATE

Boulder Mountain via Jordan FSR is now open to recreation traffic, with 2-way radios with all 35 RR channels. Most trails are now snow free although you may find snow on Rooster and Rednecks Revenge.

Mountain Biking

Boulder is the mecca for downhill riding in Revelstoke with a couple of intermediate trails and plenty of difficult and extreme tech and jump lines. A climb trail Sisyphus was built in 2023 with extensions in the years to come.

Access

Access from Westside Rd, turn onto Jordan FSR. The Jordan is an active resource road with heavy logging and gravel truck traffic. 2-way radios are required.

Trails

Warm up on Loggin Leftovers, then head up to the top and discover the classic Boondocker trail that funnels into the Detention Centre.

Detention Centre

Looking to practice your drops and jump skills? The Detention Centre is a great place to get comfortable on the woodwork. Begin at the powerlines.

Blue Trail:

You can choose between the lower login leftovers train which has one steep blue chute and two small drops to practice on.

Black Trail:

Head down lower boondocker. There are a couple big jump hits, two larger drops, two cheese wedges, a table top or gap jump, and two boner logs. Pre-ride before you ride!

Snowmobiling

Boulder Mountain is legendary for snowmobiling, attracting riders from across Canada and beyond for its deep powder and challenging terrain. Managed by the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club, the area offers top-notch facilities and regularly groomed trails to ensure optimal conditions.

Access and Permits
The main staging area is located at 4177 Westside Road. Stop in at the Welcome Centre to learn more about the area. Head to the ticket book to purchase your day pass. A day pass or membership with the club is required to ride, supporting the maintenance and grooming of the trails.

Area Highlights

  • Sugar Bowl: A favorite spot for advanced riders with plenty of opportunities for technical climbing and powdery descents.

  • Boulder Cabin: Located on the mountain, this cabin offers a warm-up spot with stellar views and a chance to connect with other riders.
