The fall is an amazing time for hitting the trails! The temperature is ideal, the bugs are gone and the autumn showers make the dirt primo. Whether you choose a forest trail in the Mount Macpherson Trail Network or an alpine epic, the fall scenery will ensure a breathtaking ride!

Explore Revelstoke’s historic downtown area and soak in the beautiful fall colours in the surrounding mountains. Cozy up in one of the fantastic coffee shops and get a pumpkin spice latte, or enjoy shopping in the downtown core.

On Saturdays, discover some of BC's best farmers markets. The Revelstoke Farm & Craft Market and Local Food Initiative Market take place along first street. From fruit and veg, to hand-crafted jewelry and locally brewed beers, you don't want to miss these markets.

4. Rev your engines

Fall is prime time for motorized sports. Go on an ATV tour with Great Canadian Tours or rent a dirt bike and hit the track! You'll explore incredible roads, waterfalls, epic view points and more. Bringing your own equipment? Make sure to pay trail fees to the Revy Riders Dirt Bike Club or talk to the Revelstoke ATV Club.

5. SUP Serenity

There is no better way to unwind than to paddle on a SUP on Lake Revelstoke in the fall. You'll be surrounded by glacier capped mountains, misty valleys, and waterfalls whilst being lulled by the gentle ebb and flow of the lake.

6. EXPLORE THE NATIONAL PARKS

Revelstoke neighbours two national parks which are full of activities for all ages & activities levels! Explore Mount Revelstoke National Park with a scenic drive up the Meadows in the Sky Parkway, or a relaxing walk through Inspiration Woods.

Discover all that Glacier National Park has to offer from the picnic area by the Illecillewaet River, to the accessibility-friendly Hemlock Grove boardwalk, to the plethora of alpine hikes such as Balu Pass.

7. wet a line

Fall is for fishing. Without giving away trade secrets, we can say Revelstoke is a great place to fish. There are over 200 rivers, creeks, and streams churning with freshwater fish around Revelstoke, all within 50 km of town. By far the best way to get out fishing is to hire a local guide; we have four fishing guiding businesses that can offer tours to suit your skills and goals.

8. DISCOVER the craft brewing & distillery scene

9. Hit the golf links

The Revelstoke Golf Club is open until Thanksgiving weekend. The club offers 6,537 yards of a par 72 championship-layout, 18-hole course. With exceptionally scenic holes along the Columbia River, the game weaves through natural features unique to this area. Both challenging and relaxing, the Golf Revelstoke experience blends a great course into a beautiful environment.

11. DISCOVER REVELSTOKE'S HISTORY

Dodge the fall showers and find out more about Revelstoke’s past. Head to the Revelstoke Museum and Archives to discover Revelstoke’s origins and learn about Canada’s most deadly avalanche. Then, check out the Railway Museum to find out how the railroad shaped our town- and to try your hand at driving a train (well, a simulator)! Head to the BC Interior Forestry Museum to see the fascinating collection of forestry machinery and learn about the area’s history in the logging industry. Explore their riverside forest walk and reflect on everything you've learned.
