Camping & RV

Get starstruck in the great outdoors.

Revelstoke boasts some of the most beautiful camping areas in British Columbia. Whether you’re looking for a site that’s close to town and restaurants or an opportunity to escape into nature, you’ll find something that suits your needs. Some Revelstoke camping options offer full-service hookups, while others are off the beaten path and require you to be more self-sufficient. We have two Provincial Parks, two National Parks, and several BC Recreation Sites in our area. Most local privately operated campgrounds offer full-service sites, complete washrooms, laundry, and convenient pull-through sites for even the largest RVs.

We strongly recommend booking RV sites and campground sites in advance. This will allow you to secure a spot or get the most out of your camping experience such as full-service hookups.

Full Service Campgrounds

Full hook-up camping means your recreational vehicle will have a water supply, electricity, and sewage connection for your whole stay. Additionally, many of these campgrounds offer shower services, free wifi, and laundry.

Lamplighter Campground and Williamson Lake Campground are located within Revelstoke city limits and have full hook-up sites available. Boulder Mountain Resort and Smokey Bear Campground Resort are located on Highway 1, a short drive outside of Revelstoke. Beyond Revelstoke, Crazy Creek Hot Pools Resort, Noah's Ark Resort, and Canyon Hot Springs all have full-service hook-ups.

Please book your stay in advance. Reservations are often required or strongly recommended during summer months as campgrounds fill up quickly. This is consistent across British Columbia.

RV Friendly campgrounds

In addition to the above list of RV full-service campgrounds, the following are also options for those with RVs that do not need full-service hookups.

Snowforest Campground in nearby Mount Revelstoke National Park offers reservable motorhome campsites with power connections. Glacier National Park operates two front country campgrounds seasonally, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Illecillewaet Campground and Loop Brook Campground are great home bases for hiking enthusiasts as these double as trailhead locations.  Please note, only a small number of campsites in the park accommodate Class A motorhomes (over 10 m or 33 ft). National park passes are mandatory during your time in either park.

Blanket Creek Provincial Park, located just 25km south of town, offers RV camping sites. Martha Creek Provincial Park, located on Lake Revelstoke, 22km north of Revelstoke on Highway 23, offers RV camping. Arrow Lakes Provincial Park offers a small number of sites on the edge of Upper Arrow Lake.
