Spring Camping Guide

Spring Camping in Revelstoke.

About two-thirds of our campgrounds are seasonal, they close throughout the winter. Here is a breakdown of which campgrounds are open throughout April, May, and June in Revelstoke.

Managed, Year Round.

Revelstoke has a few managed campgrounds that are open year-round. These campgrounds have full RV hookups although water hookup may not be available until May.

Boulder Mountain Resort

Boulder Mountain Resort is home to rustic glamping cabins, glamping tents, and incredible geo domes. The resort and campground is located in a beautiful forest like setting, surrounded by big trees and mountain views.

The Reverie Campground

The Reverie is Revelstoke’s newest campground, open all winter! Bring your campervans, Subarus, trailers, RVs, tiny houses and yurts, or build yourself an igloo and get cozy for the winter with spacious sites and gorgeous mountain views! Hot showers and wifi, make yourself at home. First come first served, come pick your spot today!

Crazy Creek Hot Pools Resort

Four Season Hot Pools Resort is located 30 minutes west of Revelstoke. Located on HWY 1, stop in for a soak at the 4 outdoor hot pools or stay overnight in the cabins or camping located at the resort.

Campgrounds Opening in May.

We have five additional campgrounds that open throughout May. There is a mix of private campgrounds, a national park, and two provincial park campgrounds to choose from. Confirm opening dates, as some open at the beginning of May while others open around the May Long Weekend.

Lamplighter Campground

The Lamplighter Campground offers both full-service and unserviced sites. Quiet and family-friendly, with just over 50 sites for tents and RVs, we offer clean and well-maintained facilities in a pretty, park-like setting.

Williamson Lake Campground

Williamson's Lake Campground is a full-service, family-oriented campground with 44 spacious campsites located beside a safe, sandy lake suitable for swimming. Located just 5 km from downtown Revelstoke.

Snowforest Campground

Located near the start of the Meadows in the Sky Parkway in Mount Revelstoke National Park, Snowforest is a short 5 km drive from downtown Revelstoke. The campground offers a variety of options including large pull-through RV campsites with electricity. Open May - October.

Martha Creek Provincial Park

The park is located 18 minutes from downtown Revelstoke and is out of cell service range. Campsite reservations are accepted at this park and first-come, first-served sites are also available. The day-use area features one of Revelstoke's few beaches, picnic tables, pit toilets, and a field that is perfect for lawn games. The beach is coarse sand and pebbles, about 300 m long and flat.

Blanket Creek Provincial Park

This park was originally a farm now developed to provide recreational opportunities. Campsite reservations are accepted and first-come, first-served sites are also available. The campground is connected to a day-use picnic area, swimming lagoon, and Sutherland Falls.

Campgrounds Opening in June.

Due to snow levels, Glacier National Park campgrounds (both frontcountry and backcountry) don't open until at least late June.

Backcountry camping sites located on alpine hikes may not be open until July. This completely depends on snow levels and trail accesss.

Illecillewaet Campground

A great basecamp for exploring Glacier National Park at the starting point for several popular trails. Campsites are unserviced, accommodating tents and RVs. Sites for large RVs are very limited and all sites are first come, first served. The name Illecillewaet comes from a Sinixt word meaning "big water".

Loop Brook Campground

A smaller, more intimate campground, Loop Brook is steps away from self-guided interpretive trails that delve into the area’s rich railway history. Campsites are unserviced, a national park pass is required. Open late June - September, reservation only.

Recreation Sites.

Recreation sites can be accessed before on-site managers arriving. Please camp responsibly at these sites and pick up after yourselves so that everyone else has a great camping experience & the wildlife stay wild.

When the on-site grounds manager arrives, a small fee applies to camp at these sites to support maintenance and management. Check out their websites for more details.

Begbie Falls Recreation Site

A first-come first-serve campground located 2km down Begbie Falls FSR, just before the waterfalls. There are 26 sites and there is a $15.00 fee. Debit and Credit card payment options are available.

Carnes Creek Recreation Site

The Carnes Creek campground sits on the shores of Lake Revelstoke. The Recreation site is made up of two sites. The southern site contains 26 sites, a small day-use area, and a boat launch and the northern site contains 18 sites and has a small boat launch. A $15 camping fee per day ($7.50 for disabled and seniors) will apply from May 1 to October 15.

Wadey Recreation Site

Beautiful 30-site campground 25km north of the Trans-Canada Highway, nestled along the shores of Lake Revelstoke. Please note, there is no cell reception or gas station past the Revelstoke Dam. Camping frees are $15/night, cash only.
