Community Clean-Up

Clear your yard of wildfire risk materials and drop waste in collection bins around Revelstoke for free on Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Neighbourhood bins will be available for residents to drop off FireSmart materials on Saturday, May 31, between 9am - 4pm. All FireSmart-related materials will be removed free of charge!

Acceptable Items for Collection Bins

  • Leaves

  • Small Branches

  • Grass Clippings

  • Forest litter (dead plant materials etc)

Unacceptable Items include:

  • Food Compost, Household Garbage, Lumber, Building Materials, Metal, Dirt & Rocks, Large Tree Branches or Stumps

If you have larger items that you would like to remove (such as tree limbs, bushes, cedar hedges, etc), or are unable to transport materials from your home to the nearest neighborhood bin, click here or call 250-837-2884 to pre-register a pick up for free large item removal OR curbside collection. *This is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and spots are limited!

Adopt A Neighbour

Get paired with a neighbour in need, assist them with FireSmart their property. You will receive a checklist of tasks to help them during your shift. No material transportation is required, they will be assigned curbside pick up. Your shift is completed on May 31, 2025.

We can send a chipper to your address to help remove larger items such as tree limbs, bushes, cedar hedges, etc.

I want to participate but don't have the means to transport to a collection bin?

For residents who cannot transport their materials to a neighborhood bin, you can pre-register for free curbside collection.

This is available on a first come, first serve basis, and spots are limited!
