Self-guided Interpretive Nature Trail

Alpha Mountain Lodging, Revelstoke's only indigenous-owned and operated accommodation, has created an interpretive trail on their property for their guests. This trail will be open to the public on June 21 to wander and learn about the surrounding nature.

"The Kihîw Nature Trail is a rugged 1km interpretive loop that winds through our property, showcasing the local flora, fauna, and wildlife. As you walk, you’ll traverse old forests, regrowth areas, and boulders, encountering a variety of native plants and berry bushes along the way. The Indigenous language used on the trail is Cree, reflecting Logan’s and our children’s heritage."

Informational sign titled "Berries of the Land: A Cultural Journey" surrounded by lush green ferns in a forest setting.
