About Revelstoke Dogsled Adventures
Revelstoke Dogsled Adventures has proudly been operating in the Revelstoke area since 2009. They are a small family-run kennel that strives to maintain the highest standards of dog care and guest satisfaction.
The small, family-run business treats its dogs with care and respect. In your dog sledding experience, you’ll learn about what it takes to run a dog sled and how the huskies work together as a team.
With the help of their 2 lovely daughters and staff, they can allow our dogs to reach their full potential, both as elite canine athletes and as socialized couch potatoes.
Working forestry in the summer allows them to run and train dogs 8 months a year full time. Their life has gone to the dogs and would not have it any other way.

History of Dog Sledding.
Dogsledding is the quintessential northern experience. Developed as a method of winter travel by northern Indigenous peoples, the practice of using dogs to pull sleds dates back to at least 6000 BC. Remnants of dog sleds and harnesses have been found with dog remains in Siberia which carbon-dated to 7800–8000 years ago. The advent of airplanes and modern snowmobiles has left dogsledding as more of a sport for enjoyment rather than essential transportation. These days, there are several famous dog sledding races to aspire to, particularly the Yukon Quest and the famous Alaskan Iditarod.
