The Snow

It snows a lot in Revelstoke. You can thank Revelstoke's location, in the middle of the world’s only inland temperate rainforest.

There are many resources we use to find more information about recent Revelstoke snowfall, including SpotWX, Avalanche Canada forecast and map, and Revelstoke Mountain Resorts snow report.

Gnorm The Powder Gnome | 10.6" or 26 cm

When it snows, all eyes (or web browsers) are on Gnorm. For the locals, it is quite literally the first thing that is checked when we wake up.

The rule is... if Gnorm is buried to his waist, it's a pow day. If he is buried to his eyeballs, it's a blower pow day.  If you can't even see him, it's a deep day - it's probably best to head out and rent a pair of powder skis or a powder board.
