How to get taken seriously at après

No matter how good your outfit is, how many beers you drink, or how many laps you did of the Stoke chair, there's one après accessory that needs to be earned. It takes days of hard work and dedication. A goggle tan! So if you want to be respected this après season, head to these locations and get your tan on.*

1. Mackenzie Outpost

The most iconic spot for enjoying the sun is at the Mackenzie Outpost at the top of Revelation Gondola. There's deck chairs, the best burgers in town, and a scenic deck. Oh, and cold beer!

2. Tan and a view at the Rockford Bar and Grill

The après experience at The Rockford is an institution in Revelstoke. Couple that with the stunning views from the patio and late afternoon sun and you have a winning combination for working on your goggle tan.

3. Illecillewaet Greenbelt

Not skiing at the resort? Going for a cross country ski or snowshoe on the Illecillewaet Greenbelt trails is a fantastic way to get some sun. If you did this every sunny morning you'll have an unbeatable Goggle tan before spring.

4. The summit of a ski tour

Take a moment to feel the sun on your face during your skin transition at the summit. This is the most rewarding place to deepen your goggle tan.

5. Revelation Lodge at RMR

On a sunny day, you can't beat this patio. The lower elevation means it's usually much warmer here than at the Mackenzie Outpost. Order a pitcher and enjoy the sunshine!

6. On a sled

The most expensive deck chair around! Kickin' back on the seat of a snowmobile in the sun has to be one of the best ways to get a goggle tan.

PRO TIP: Remove your full face helmet for maximum exposure

3 - Rumpus Beer Company - Revelstoke - BC Ale Trail

7. Rumpus Beer Co.

Ok yes, it's indoors. However, it's the only bar that gets afternoon sun in Revelstoke!

In pursuit of the perfect goggle tan, you'll find our team frequenting these locations. Spring skiing and the after party is what we live for after a cold, dark winter. We believe the après ski experience is more than just a tradition; it's a sunlit journey.
