Adaptive mountain biking on Mount Macpherson.
Chris Miller is a passionate community member in Revelstoke who gets around town and the trails on his adaptive bike. We asked him to showcase some of his preferred routes around Revy. This one showcases Miller Time adaptive loop on Mount Macpherson trail network.
Nature grounds us, helping us stay present—a rare thing in daily life. Spending even a few minutes outside is essential. I've cycled all my life and learned that pedaling moves us forward, and that’s the only direction to go. Now, rolling is just my way of moving.
When I moved to Revelstoke 20 years ago, mountain biking was evolving. With no downhill trails, we started building on Boulder Mountain. But crashes and injuries over the years led me to switch to Mount Macpherson, where I’ve maintained trails. Revelstoke is known for its intense terrain, but the Miller Time trail offers an approachable ride, letting everyone, even kids, experience the joy of pedaling without feeling intimidated.

About The Trail.
Revelstoke is a mountain biking destination, and Miller Time on Mount Macpherson was designed to be inclusive, letting riders of all levels soak in the beauty around them.
Miller Time starts at Griffin Creek Forest Service Road, about 6 km from downtown, with a trailhead that includes an info kiosk, picnic table, and outhouse. This 1-km loop on the western slopes of the Columbia Valley showcases our lush interior rainforest.
Whether I deserve a namesake trail or not, I was proud at its grand opening, leading my daughter Regan and other kids around the loop. It’s heartwarming to see young kids on run bikes discovering the magic of the trails, setting them up for a lifetime of riding.
