THINGS TO DO

Go for a short, easy walk.

Walk beside the snowbanks that encompass our town while taking in the dramatic scenery of the Columbia Valley.

Some of our favorite short walks: The Green Belt, Revelstoke Dyke Walk, Woodenhead Park and Bridge Creek.

Go Snowshoeing.

Available to a variety of ages, fitness levels and abilities, snowshoeing is a great way to enjoy our otherwise inaccessible winter landscapes. Check out two famous local waterfalls (Begbie Falls and Sutherland Falls) and make a day out of it!

Go Snowshoeing.

Go Cross Country Skiing.

While the lodge and rental office of the Nordic Ski Club is closed, grooming of our expansive trail network is being maintained. Get out and take advantage of the great conditions!

*Make sure to deposit your trail fee in the deposit box located outside the lodge.

Enjoy a free, heritage walking tour.

Explore our town by foot and learn about Revelstoke’s colorful history.

Choose from three walking tours: The Courthouse Walk, the Mackenzie Walk and the Selkirk Walk.

Practice yoga, meditation and wellness.

Practice meditation, yoga and wellness while outside in nature enjoying the scenic views, forest and fresh mountain air or learn about forest bathing (spending time outdoors under the canopy of trees).

Go Birdwatching.

Revelstoke is a prime location for spotting over 250 species of migrating and nesting birds. Enjoy a leisurely walk and keep your eyes in the sky to catch Bald Eagles soaring above the Columbia River.

 Go Birdwatching.

Go for a scenic drive.

Head north or south on Highway 23 for a stunning mountain drive.

South leads you along the Columbia River through the Selkirk Mountains to the Upper Arrow Lake ferry. The Ferry leaves every hour, on the hour, and runs from 5:00am until midnight. Tip: Bring a picnic and take a walk along the shore line.

North provides spectacular views of Revelstoke Dam and Lake Revelstoke stretching for 150kms. Tip: Bring a camera and stop at 5 Mile boat launch for a quick photo shoot.

Please note there is very limited access to food, gas and cell reception services along both of these routes. Please go fully prepared. Always refer to DriveBC.ca for road conditions.
