This event kicks of the season by bringing together your paddling community just before we all get back out on the water again! All of the proceeds go to support the Paddlesports Association to provide more great events, clinics, and projects to get more people on the water.

The Rainbow-Jordan Wilderness | Film Night

Valhalla Wilderness Society Biologist and Campaigner Amber Peters will share the biodiversity findings in what is now known to science as the fourth biodiversity hotspot of the Inland Temperate Rainforest. A screening of the short film Primeval: Enter the Incomappleux will take us into the heart of some of the world’s richest Inland Rainforest. The film will be followed by a presentation on the Rainbow-Jordan Wilderness Proposal. With incredible photography from 6 years of exploratory research, see why this wilderness gem must be protected!

Director Ryan Collins explores the implications of being a gay man in Revelstoke, BC, while seeking to frame a larger picture of queer life in a mountain small-town. The film follows Ryan as he connects with the queer community of Revelstoke, seeking their opinions and stories and relationship with mountain culture, in the hope of building perspective into what it is like to be queer in mountain towns.

The Last Stop: Canada’s Lost Locomotive | Revelstoke Railway Museum Fundraising Event

Watch the documentary "The Last Stop: Canada's Lost Locomotive" Shortly after WWII, a dangerous shipping incident on Slocan Lake saw an entire train assembly sink to the depths of this remote lake in British Columbia, Canada. Never recovered, a shroud of mystery and limited records conceal the whereabouts of the final resting place of the sunken CPR locomotive #3512. Colten Wilke, a diver and commercial fisherman fascinated with this local legend, recruits an experienced commercial dive team to locate and extract this historic steam locomotive, 75 years later. $5 from each ticket sale will support the Revelstoke Railway museum.
