Experience Revelstoke's growing fishing scene.
So here’s the thing: no one is ever going to give away their fishing spots. We set out to write a blog about where to fish in Revelstoke and no one would talk to us. By far the best way to get out fishing is to hire a local guide; we have three fishing guiding businesses who can offer tours to suit your skills and goals. They’ll get you to where the fish are and swear you to secrecy about their spots!
Without giving away trade secrets, we can say Revelstoke is a great place to fish. There are over 200 rivers, creeks, and streams churning with freshwater fish around Revelstoke, all within 50 kms of town. Upper Arrow Lake, Lake Revelstoke, and Kinbasket Lake all offer fishing opportunities, as do the local creeks and rivers around town.
If you plan to head out fishing on your own, ensure that you have a valid BC Fishing License and you’re equipped for the changing conditions of our mountain climate. Johnny's Wild Outdoors is a great spot to get set up (and you may just snag some local knowledge if you're lucky).
