Winter activities for the family

Day 1

Hit Turtle Creek for a morning of beginner skiing. Once you’re all feeling a little more confident, book a lesson and head out onto the slopes with a ski pro to find the best spots on the mountain.

In the afternoon, hop on a guided snowshoe tour with Revelstoke Snowshoe Company. Snowshoeing is a great way to explore winter landscapes and caters to a wide variety of age groups, fitness and experience levels. Along the way knowledgeable guides can teach you about local plant and animal species, wildlife tracking, local history, and winter survival.  You can expect spectacular views (weather permitting of course) and a wealth of local information!

Join the real powder hounds for a morning of dogsledding at Revelstoke Dogsled Adventures! The guides will share their love for dogs, local history, dogsledding knowledge, and environmental insight. Trained and motivated teams of Alaskan racing huskies will whisk you through the snowy trails and forests. Our dogs love to run and it shows! Try ‘mushing’ the dogs or sit tight and enjoy the ride!

After lunch, head to Mount Macpherson for an afternoon nordic skiing adventure. There are over 26km of trails to explore, 6km of which are lit for night use. The lodge at the base area is perfect for a family rest break- don’t forget to bring hot chocolate!
