Watersports in Revelstoke

Day 1

Hop on a morning trip with one of our rafting tour providers: Wild Blue Yonder or Apex Rafting! Experience the spectacular beauty of the area while drifting down the wild and scenic Illecillewaet River. Wear your bathing suit and they’ll provide the rest; including all equipment, licensed guides, and transportation.

After the excitement of the white water, pack up your suits and towels and head to Williamson’s Lake for some relaxation. This small lake is perfect for all ages with picnic tables, small beach, dock and the warmest waters in all of Revelstoke. Canoe and paddle board rentals are available to explore- try to find a western painted turtle, they love to sun on the logs at either end!

Join Natural Escapes Kayaking on one of their most popular tours.  The panoramic Lake and Mountain Views tour takes paddlers to a unique lake and river system surrounded by spectacular views of the Columbia Mountains and Valley.  You may catch a glimpse of eagles, great blue herons, ospreys and other native and migratory birds.  You’ll be paddling in handcrafted wood kayaks built by owner/operator, Terry, who will give you a paddling experience of a lifetime with free photos taken throughout every tour.

Or, if you’ve picked up the whitewater bug from rafting, try a whitewater kayaking day with Flexpeditions. Let them show you a good time kayaking Revelstoke’s whitewater with a qualified guide.

Grab a picnic lunch beside the Columbia River or up on Lake Revelstoke. After lunch, rent a paddleboard from one of our providers.  If you’re new to the sport, taking a lesson is always a good idea!
