Dining in Revelstoke
Eat your way around Revelstoke in our fantastic local cafes and restaurants. You’ll be spoiled for choice with the wealth of local, independent places to choose from. Whatever you’re after, we’ve got you covered.
Breakfast – The Green Moustache offers healthy meals and delicious treats, that are still good for you. Try their signature smoothies and amazing chia pudding bowl to get your day started with a kick!
Lunch – Mountain Meals is a great stop for real, homecooked food. Stop by and try their famous sausage rolls and even take home frozen versions of their tasty dishes for later!
Dinner – The Taco Club offers a fun, casual vibe and delicious Mexican food. Try Taco Tuesday and sample their house margaritas- you won’t be disappointed. (Ok, maybe it’s not completely healthy… but we like it!)
Lunch – Kevin’s Kitchen serves traditional, homemade Chinese food. There’s a range of traditional Chinese dishes on the menu, but we like the jiaozi dumplings! Or, if Chinese isn’t your thing, try Parajmit’s Kitchen, known locally as Pam’s Kitchen. They serve Indian and German food (it’s not as strange a combo as it first seems). Stop in for their great lunch specials and try the mango lassi.
Dinner – Kawakubo is the go to place for sushi in Revelstoke. Try the signature rolls – we like the red and green dragon rolls! Not into sushi? Minh Tuyets is a Vietnamese restaurant with a local twist. Whilst the menu is full of delicious Vietnamese dishes, the ingredients are all sourced as locally as possible and are organic and hormone free wherever they can be. Our tip: try the clay pots when they’re available.
Breakfast – The Main Street Cafe is one of our favourite breakfast spots. Try the pancakes or the French toast for a breakfast treat. In the summer, the outdoor seating is a good place to watch the world go by.
Lunch – The Rockford Bar and Grill serve Asian fusion foods at the base of Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Hang out on their patio for a view of Mount Begbie while you eat. Also, try Emo’s. They have something for everybody. With a varied menu and mixed cuisine, Emo’s is the go to spot when you’re just not sure what you want.
Dinner – The Village Idiot is the local’s go to for casual eats. Soak up the ski town vibe, check out their patio in the summer and sample their famous pizzas- but get there early, during peak seasons it can be busy! If you’re looking for something a little different try The Craft Bierhaus, which offers the largest selection of craft beers in town. The German bierkeller style seating makes it an ideal spot to meet up with friends. Make sure you try one of their gourmet mac and cheese dishes- they’re to die for! The Big Eddy Pub is another local’s favourite. It’s located in the Big Eddy and a perfect stop after adventures on Mount Macpherson. Their wing nights are legendary and their burgers are equally impressive!
Try Mt Begbie Brewery‘s new tasting room. It has everything a beer lover needs for a good time. Enjoy a tour before sampling the beers, with a menu of appies designed to perfectly compliment the beers on offer. We especially like the pretzel and dip! Or, if you’re looking for something a little quicker, try Nico’s Pizza. It’s a Revelstoke staple. Open until late, Nico’s is a great spot to grab a slice or have a sit down meal.
Coffee and More
Morning coffee – La Baguette have recently expanded to include so much more than coffee. Stop in for artisan baked goods, breakfast, sandwiches and wood fired pizza! We especially love their gelato counter, all made in house and all delicious! (Trust us- we’ve tried them all!).
Mid-morning coffee – The Modern Bakeshop on Mackenzie Avenue serves good food with a real Kootenay mountain town vibe.
Afternoon pick-me-up – Dose Coffee are serious about their coffee, but the rest of life they take a little less seriously. Try their selection of snacks and lunch offerings and spot the dinosaurs spread throughout the cafe while you eat!
Revelstoke have lots of options for fine dining. Try Woolsey Creek for fine dining with a conscience. They try to use only local, organic produce to create the delicious dishes that make the Wolsey a favourite in town. If you’re looking for a steak, 112 Steakhouse has been a purveyor of fine dining in Revelstoke since 1978. Steak is their speciality but there’s much more on the menu too. The Quartermaster is a great option for fine dining and fantastic cocktails. After dinner, check out the Boiler Room for drinks in a unique setting. Just out of town, The Coast Hillcrest Hotel might have the best dining room view in Revelstoke. In the summer, enjoy your meal on the patio and soak in the breathtaking views of the Columbia Valley.
