Sunlight Snowshoe with ParticipACTION

Join Parks Canada and ParticipACTION for some snowshoeing, marshmallow roasting, live music, a campfire and more fun activities! What: Snowshoe the Soren Sorensen trails. Then join us at the Nels Nelson Chalet for a campfire, hot chocolate, snacks and live music by Maggie Davis from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. ParticipACTION will be there to present their #150PlayList in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary. Curious? More information can be found on their website: Where: Nels Nelsen area in Mount Revelstoke National Park. Park at the Nels Nelson parking lot, or snowshoe right from town up the Mount Revelstoke Trail (from behind the Railway Museum). The Nels Nelson Chalet is a short walk through the woods from the parking lot. Snowshoes will be available to borrow (first come first served, sizes for ages 10 and up). Dress for the weather, bring lots of energy and feel free to join in the campfire activities with a musical instrument, if you’ve got one.
