Revelstoke Remote Working Guide

For Remote Workers & Digital Nomads.

Sustainably working remotely in a mountain community like Revelstoke means integrating into the local ecosystem rather than operating as an outsider.

Remote workers can contribute by supporting the local economy—choosing locally-owned cafes, shops, and accommodations. Beyond economic support, giving back through volunteer work in local initiatives, environmental cleanups, or community events fosters a sense of belonging and reciprocity.

Many mountain towns face challenges like housing shortages and resource strain, so being mindful of your impact—such as minimizing waste, conserving resources, and respecting the environment—is essential. By actively engaging with and giving back to the community, remote workers can enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle while helping preserve the town's unique character.
