After Dark Winter Guide

Things to do in the winter evenings.

Whether your body requires a rest day from charging downhill or digging your sled out, you’re in search of ways to fill your afternoons or evenings after shredding the pow, the list of activities available in our lively town will guarantee you will never be bored.

Revelstoke Grizzlies Hockey Game.

If you are coming from overseas, you may have heard tales about Canadians’ love for small-town hockey games. Revelstoke not only lives up to this national stereotype, it surpasses it.

As you walk into the Revelstoke Forum, you may be surprised by the buzz of excitement that greets you. Throughout the season our arena is often full to the brim with enthusiastic, boisterous fans cheering on our local junior hockey team, the Revelstoke Grizzlies. A concession stand with epic poutine and a beer garden are both on-site.

Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club.

After a hard day of shredding, another energy-exerting activity might not be top of mind but we are here to tell you it's worth it. The Nordic club turns on the lights after dark on one big loop. Cross country ski through an old-growth forest up and down rolling hills. Macpherson Nordic trails are best experienced at night when it is lightly snowing -- It feels like your very own version of Narnia.

Pro-tip: Rent XC skis before their club closes late afternoon or grab a pair of rentals from town.

Craft Breweries & Distillery.

It’s hard to pick just one so why not visit them all? One local, award-winning distillery has become established in our small mountain town. Monashee Spirits Craft Distillery is located on Mackenzie Avenue which makes it a convenient spot for a post-dinner digestif or pre-dance cocktail.

Our local brewery Mt Begbie Brewing Co is located just outside of downtown Revelstoke. Drink beer, have bar snacks and take a tour.

The hip kid on the block for the craft brewing scene is Rumpus Beer Company. Featuring craft micro-brewed beers, the team at Rumpus Beer Company offer a relaxed atmosphere to have some drinks with friends. No fluff, just great beer.

New to the scene is Revystoked Brewing Company, located in Mackenzie Village.
