Fall is The most beautiful time in the national parks
There's still plenty of adventures to be had in our nearby national parks. The changing leaves and mild temperatures make it an ideal time to get those last hikes in, take some great photos, or enjoy a picnic.
We asked our friends at Parks Canada to tell us the best things to do in fall in Mount Revelstoke and Glacier national parks.
a perfect picnic
Pack a lunch and head to the Monashee viewpoint in Mount Revelstoke National Park! A picnic shelter is nearby in case of rain.
a cozy camping trip
Relax by the fire and snuggle up in your tent or trailer. Snowforest Campground and Illecillewaet Campground closes early-mid October.

Quick tip: Dogs are not allowed above the Columbia Viewpoint (12km) on the Meadows in the Sky Parkway.

Drive or ride your bike up the Meadows in the Sky Parkway for spectacular views! The parkway closes gradually from the summit down depending on snow level.
a colourful hike
Get in a hike or two before the snow flies. Check out the Inspiration Woods or Soren Sorensen trails for fall foliage! Always check the Parks Canada trail conditions report and pack a headlamp for the shorter days.
