Join local chef Alex Barton for an Argentinian-inspired asado at the Revelstoke Food Commons. Rooted in the timeless tradition of cooking over open flames, this immersive evening celebrates simple food, generous hospitality, and the joy of gathering around the fire.

As the lamb slowly roasts over glowing coals, you'll become part of the experience by rolling, stretching, and cooking your own flatbreads before sitting down to enjoy a harvest-inspired feast. Throughout the evening, Chef Alex will share the traditions behind the Argentinian asado and why cooking over fire has long been a way to bring people together.

Featuring locally raised lamb from Reverent Acres Farm alongside seasonal vegetables, herbs, and ingredients grown by local farmers and the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative, the menu blends Argentinian tradition with the flavors of Revelstoke.

More than a dinner, Asado is an opportunity to slow down, share a meal, and experience the warmth that comes from cooking, eating, and connecting around the fire.

Menu highlights include slow-roasted lamb with chimichurri, grilled chicken, handmade flatbreads, wild mushroom and cheese empanadas, fire-roasted vegetables and potatoes, seasonal salads, and vibrant house-made sauces.

Dietary Notes: Dairy-free and gluten-free options available.

The Food Commons is a collaborative outdoor gathering space created by the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative and the Indigenous Friendship Society of Revelstoke. The evening takes place under a heated dome, with tents, heaters, and blankets available to keep guests cozy.
