History

The first Nordic Club Moonlight Ski on Mt. Revelstoke occurred in 1985 to celebrate the centennial of Parks Canada. It was an annual event that drew enthusiastic skiers up the track-set road to Monashee Cabin, about 7 km along the Meadows to the Sky Parkway.

"Thanks to IGS bringing back weekly grooming of the lower parkway in March 2025 for skiing, President Roger Galbraith said a lot of public interest has since surfaced in the return of the Moonlight Ski. The original event dates back 41 years."
