PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING UP:
Trailhead Access: Participants must have reliable transportation to the designated trailhead. Carpooling options will be made available. While our guides will do their best to choose a trail suitable for the time of year, weather conditions and snowmelt may affect decision-making. Helly Hansen will ensure prompt communication regarding any change of plans.
Physical Fitness Abilities: Participants should be in good physical condition and able to hike for extended periods over challenging terrain. A minimum fitness level may be required, such as being able to walk a certain distance or climb a certain elevation gain without difficulty. Please note that two hiking group options will be provided: Leisurely for those newer to the sport, and a faster group for those looking to push themselves.
Health Requirements: Participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions or injuries that may affect their ability to hike safely. They should also be prepared to provide emergency contact information and any necessary medical documentation.
Equipment: Participants are responsible for bringing their own hiking gear, including appropriate clothing, footwear, backpack, water, snacks, sunscreen and any other necessary equipment. We will provide a recommended packing list before the event.
Age Restrictions: This event is open to participants 18 years of age or older.
Liability Waivers: Participants may be required to sign a liability waiver acknowledging the risks associated with hiking, including but not limited to falls, injuries, wildlife encounters, and adverse weather conditions.
Environmental Awareness: Participants should respect the natural environment and adhere to Leave No Trace principles, including packing out all trash, staying on designated trails, and avoiding damage to vegetation and wildlife habitats.
Food: Helly Hansen will provide lunch, which will be distributed to hikers at the trailhead. Helly Hansen staff will communicate which meal to be provided ahead of activity date, and collect any dietary requirements.
