There’s a LOT of fruit on trees around Revelstoke right now, and with high bear activity in town, we need your help getting it picked.
Join Revelstoke Bear Aware for a community Pick-a-Thon and help us remove fruit from local trees before the bears find it. Unmanaged fruit is a major bear attractant and can contribute to food conditioning and habituation, increasing the potential for unsafe human-bear encounters.
Come for an hour or stay for a few. Volunteers will help pick fruit at properties around Revelstoke, and you’re welcome to take some of the fresh, locally grown fruit home with you.
Many hands make light work. Come pick some fruit, meet some neighbours, and help keep Revelstoke’s bears wild and the community safe!
