For the first time, Tourism Revelstoke and Parks Canada are pleased to offer free shuttles from downtown Revelstoke to the summit area of Mt. Revelstoke National Park for the Wildflower Festival from August 3rd – August 7th.
Riders will be dropped off at the Balsam Lake parking area and will have time to attend the Alpine Adaptations Wildflower Walks (pre-registration required, see separate event for details) or explore the summit area and hiking trails on their own. Shuttle riders must return on the same bus they arrived on unless they inform the driver that they will be hiking down. Please make sure you are present promptly at the shuttle loading times in order to prevent delays.
Shuttle seats are available on a first come, first served basis, with priority to registered participants in Parks Canada’s Wildflower Alpine walks. Register for a walk by calling Parks Canada at 250-814-4217 until 6:00 pm the day prior to your ride.
Riders must have a valid pass to Mt. Revelstoke National Park. Park passes will be available for purchase at the bus loading location at the National Parks office in downtown Revelstoke, at 301 Third Street West. There are outhouses, but no food, water, or beverage services at the Mt. Revelstoke summit area. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the summit area of Mount Revelstoke National Park or on the shuttle bus.
