Everyone! As long as you are kind and respectful you are more than welcome to join this family friendly event. You don’t have to be queer but you do have to be kind.
A relaxing day of music, craft activities, food trucks, and more. Bring a white cotton tee and make your own tie dye shirt to celebrate the occasion! And don’t forget a blanket and some pillows to make your lounging that much more relaxing.
Sunday August 21st, 12pm – 6pm
Revelstoke has always had a queer community, it’s time we celebrate it! A question we often get is why we need to celebrate pride at all. Pride is many things for different people, for some it is a celebration of hardships overcome, for some it’s a rare chance to connect with an often hidden community, some use it to remember those who lost their lives, and some use it as a day to just be free. The queer community is sadly often unified through hardships, homophobia and hate. Pride events serve to strengthen the community and spread awareness and inclusivity in a safe and joy filled way.
This event has been organised by Revelstoke Queer Shred and their dedicated volunteers but it wouldn’t be possible without our incredible community sponsors. A big thank you to Tourism Revelstoke, Flowt, Fable and Silverwinds for making this event possible.
