Beautiful Photos of Revelstoke from 2017

We went through the Instagram archives from the past year and picked out some of our favourite photos of Revelstoke, BC. This list could be a lot longer – trust us. Revelstoke is certainly a photo-worthy mountain town! You can click on any individual photo to view the photographer’s Instagram account and follow them.

To kick off the list we have this shot taken at Sol Mountain lodge which has us yearning for it to be summer. Right. Now.

We are loving this photo of the sun’s warm rays shining down on the Flats in south Revelstoke.

And this photo of the Northern Lights dancing over Lake Revelstoke.

This photo of a black bear sitting pretty among the fall foliage is pretty much perfect.

It was hard to pick just one photo of Revelstoke’s famous wildflower bloom. This photo is of McCrae Peak, south of Revelstoke in the Selkirk mountain range.

This is a pretty special view to be rewarded with after a hike. We love this perspective of the Columbia Valley.

Eva Lake in Mt. Revelstoke NP sure looks magical after the first dusting of snow!

Have you explored Lake Revelstoke? It’s wild, stunning, and quiet. Which is perfectly represented in this photo of a standup paddleboarder on a misty morning.

An incredible capture of pro mountain biker, Mike Hopkins, riding off into the sunset.

Mother Nature sure did provide some magnificent lighting for these ski tourers!

We are big fans of the blue green waters of Miller Lake captured here in Mt. Revelstoke NP.

And the Revelstoke Courthouse was looking pretty magical under the northern lights on a cool autumn evening.

Hi Jackie, thank you for your kind comment- we’re so glad you liked the photos. We hope you and your grandchildren get here for a visit one day! In theory, the Northern lights can be seen at any time of year but we see them more often in the winter because the skies are darker. You can get more information on the forecasts and viewing here:
