Snowshoe Routes
Beginner
Start with a guided tour at Revelstoke Mountain Resort with the Revelstoke Snowshoe Company, or try the trails around the Illecillewaet Greenbelt. From downtown, you can also follow Mount Revelstoke National Park's Tournament of Champions trail.
Intermediate
Head to Begbie Falls, which is often frozen in the winter. Park at the beginning of the Begbie Falls Forest Service Road and follow the trail about 2.5 km from there. Another great option is to park at the gate of Mount Revelstoke National Park and head for Inspiration Woods or the Soren Sorensen loop.
Expert
Mount Revelstoke National Park's Summit Trail will offer plenty of challenge as you wind up the slopes through Snow Forest. Unless otherwise noted, the trails and the Meadows in the Sky Parkway on the lower slopes of Mount Revelstoke are classified as "simple" avalanche terrain. Along the parkway, you should still stay vigilant for snow slumping from steep slopes along the roadway. Make sure you visit avalanche.ca for current conditions.
