DIY Green Cleaning Workshop

Thursday, March 23rd – 7pm
Big Mountain Kitchen & Linen (215 Mackenzie Ave.)

Are you moving out and moving on, and have to scrub the house down before handing over the keys? Or just in the mood for some spring cleaning?
Why not do it with homemade cleaning products that are good for our environment, our personal health, and our wallets!

Not many people consider the harsh chemicals they willingly expose themselves to for the purpose of spring cleaning, but we’d like to show you a better way. Join our Sustainable Living Committee at Big Mountain Kitchen and Linen for a hands on workshop on creating your own eco-friendly cleaning products. From all purpose cleaner to laundry detergent, we’ll show you how to do everything from scrubbing bathroom grout to refreshing couch upholstery.

We’ll supply the necessary ingredients to get you started: some vinegar, baking soda, and essential oils (to name a few!)

Big Mountain Kitchen & Linen will provide you with a venue and sweet deals on products (if you become an NCES member)

All you need to bring is a willingness to change, and an empty spray bottle and jar!

Pre-registration is not necessary, but encouraged. Check out the Facebook event page.

Donations will not be turned away 🙂
